KNM condemns Gilgit-Baltistan Order 2018, demands an end to harassment of activists
Islamabad: (PR) Karakoram National Movements’ cabinet and members have in a press statement strongly condemned and rejected the Gilgit-Baltistan 2018 order issued by Government of Pakistan.
According to a press release, Karakoram National Movement endorses and supports peaceful protests of Gilgit-Baltistan Supreme Council & United Opposition rights movement.
Protest against non democratic, oppressive and invasive policies are common in this democratic world. The people of Gilgit-Baltistan have basic human right to protest as per United Nations charter.
For 7 decades Gilgit-Baltistan has been deprived of basic human rights and are being governed without any constitution. Government of Pakistan has agreed to resolve the Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan according to UNICP resolutions. UNICP resolutions has given us route map how to empower Gilgit-Baltistan & Kashmir.
We expect administration of Pakistan to declare Gilgit Pakistan 2018 order null and void and stop harassment and prosecution of peaceful protesters of Gilgit-Baltistan.
