  1. After the past 3 decades of having various kinds of peoples participation in the governence structure of G-B, this newly LA have no representation from wakhi speaking people. I presume political activists from Gojal have this realization and might have discussed with concerned desision making body!

Could the issue be debated at various forums before it gets late?

  2. I very much agree with Darajat Sahib. Unfortunately we just came up with party slogans despite of taking visible steps to encourage leadership at local and regional levels. Adhocism and self interest groups who just want to take social and financial benefits from political parties are the major reason for this serious gape which needs to be redress and i think it has now become a lifetime for the people of Gojal particularly for wakhi people to project this issue and to come up with a serious solution before it is too late. We are living on the international border that is becoming an international business hub with a huge business opportunity in future and we will not get any benefits from all these opportunities until we have no decision makers in government. It is time to reorganize our community based cultural, social, developmental and educational organization to educate our people about the future challanges and which is vital for our social integration and existance.

  3. The respect element is not over sighted while reading Mr.Darjat’s comments and feeling the reality that is very much debatable. Yes I agree it is a question mark for the Hunzukutz in particular.
After congratulating Mr. Wazir Baig for the historical win, I admire his thoughts and efforts for choosing Mr. Mutabiat Shah for the seat of technocrat. Although this gesture is cherish able, but what is harm if the promised women seat for Hunza also goes to our Gojal Hunza as it might bring some solace to the feelings of the people.

  4. Irfan thanks for leting us know that Mr. Mutabiat Shah has been nominated for the techno seat. Having decades of experience in the development sector, he could be an asset for the G-B ( LA )- has indepth knowledge of not only Hunza but entire GB and will contribute in reforms/ policy issues as well as setting trends in priorities in the development of the region.

My best wishes to Mr. Mutabiat Shah

  5. if we are no more dependent on Islamabad, then why our newly elected MLAs are in Islamabad for last over 10 days. I have doubt over government’s promises, they want to keep control depsite very high claims

  6. @ Darjat
You forgot that Wazir Baig has been elected by the votes from Gojal while he got less votes from central Hunza which indicates that Gojal has elected their candidate already. So Wazir Baig is ultimately representing Wakhi speaking population although he can not speak wakhi which does not matter as long as he works for the development of that remote area.
If u want a wakhi speaking member then u should b bold enough to contest the election rather than keeping the ground open for Rajas and maharajas from Gojal. My vote would b for u.

  7. Its nice to read such comments on different issues relating to Gojal,But i think now its time to realize the facts that we just start talking after the event that occurred…..we must take some bold steps and try to give awareness regarding politics………….we want our rights but how that is need to decide……i am not against or in support of any political party, its just the matter of fact…….I wanna congrats Eid Mubarak to all Gojalies…………………
