Border opened at Khunjrav, Chinese engineers arrive

PT Report

Islamabad, January 22: Around thirty Chinese engineers reached Gojal valley through the Khunjrav pass to assess the damage done to KKH due to Attabad landslide, as well as due to the submerging of KKH due to lake formation. They, reportedly, are employers of CBRC, the private company working on expansion of the highway.

Another group of Chinese engineers is also expected to arrive in the valley within a couple of days for working on releasing water from the artificial lake.
