Mountain Area Development Organization proposed as name for the newly established LSO

Hunza, April 21: A meeting has been held between AKRSP institutional development section and the representatives of V/WOs Ayeenabad to Passu in Local Council Gulmit. The members have proposed Mountain Area Development Organization or Pamir Development Support Organization as possible names for the new LSO.

During this meeting names of General Body members were finalized.  Two persons from each V/WOs will represent their organizations at General body. The general body will also appoint directors during coming days.  After forming a formal institutional mechanism, AKRSP will register the organization with Government.

Representatives of AKRSP and Government Agriculture Department also initiated dialogue for a Dairy Product Promotion and Marketing project in the locality.
