30th STP 2005 batch of DMG visits KADO projects in Hunza

Hunza, May 06: About 18 trainee officers of 30th Specialised Training Programme 2005 batch of District Management Group visited different projects of KADO in Karimabad, Hunza. KADO management briefed the group about their intervention areas. Later on the group visited Gems cutting and polishing Center, Karimabad, Karakoram Handicraft Private limited and Sharma Rehabilitation center, Hyderabad. The group appreciated the initiatives of KADO for disadvataged segments of the society. They said that such initiatives should also be taken in all areas of Pakistan to make the development more equitable and sustainable. The group also visited Baltit fort.

The Group is on a a five-days field visit of Northern Areas of Pakistan. Chief secretary, NAs. and AKRSP officials made briefings of their concerned departments on May 05. The group will visit Ghulkin V/WO, Sost Local Support Organisation (LSO) and Sost Market on May 07 while Ganish LSO and Altit fort on May 08. AKRSP is overall facilitating the visit.
