Aziz Ahmed Receives plaque from PM, AJK

Muzafarabad, May 28: Aziz Ahmed from Gulmit Gojal has been awarded plaque for his excellent performance in the Rural Landless Project of UN-HABITAT.  He is working as Assistant Project Coordinator for NWFP.

The UN-HABITAT has organized a mega event to celebrate the successful implementation of Rural Landless Project of ERRA and UN-Habitat at Muzaffarabad, AJK on the May 26, 2008. Prime Minister, AJK, Sardar Atique Ahmed Khan was chief guest of the event.  Jean Christopher Adrian, Chief Technical Advisor UN-HABITAT and Nilofer Qazi, Program Manager UN-HABITAT and other officials were also present at the occasion.

Prime Minister AJK in his speech has lauded the efforts of UN-HABITAT in rehabilitation and reconstruction activities in the earthquake affected areas of NWFP and AJK. The Prime Minister has then distributed plaques among project employs and activists for their outstanding performance.

After the successful completion of Landless Project, UN-HABITAT is now implementing “Hazardous Land project” from July onwards.
