CESF celebrates anniversary of the Aga Khan’s first visit to Gilgit-Baltistan

GILGIT, Oct. 23 Chipursan Educational and Social Forum (CESF) organized a grand event to celebrate 51st anniversary of the Aga Khan’s first visit to Gilgit-Baltistan. The day was witnessed by more than 400 people belonging to Chipursan valley and other parts of Gojal residing in Gilgit city. Managing Director NATCO Mr. Zafar Iqbal was the chief guest while Wahdat Shah a village elder from Chipursan chaired the event. Sultan Ahmed Assistant professor Karakoram International University, village elders from Chipursan Huzur Mukhi Muhabbat Shah , Mukhi Sabz Ali and all the senior members and Ex-official of the forum were also present on the occasion. This was for the second time the forum was celebrating this event with zeal and zest.

Chairman CESF Aziz Karim welcomed the guests and said the aim of CESF was to provide a platform for the youth where they could learn from each others’ experiences and contribute to the welfare of their community. The program was run by Najeeb-ul-lah, Saira Burhan , Mah Parveen and Akram Pervez in two sessions. Many skits, dramas and poetry were presented by the male and female members of CESF. That showed the commitment of CESF to organize healthy activities for the students residing in the capital town. The programs by Early Child Hood Development(ECD) students presented by Young kids of under seven was the hallmark of the day, The team of ECD students were led by Parveen and Mussarat.

The chief guest lauded the efforts of CESF to organize such event. He said this initiative could be taken a step further to organizing events like this on Gojal and Hunza level in the provincial capital. He also distributed Certificates among students who had shown outstanding academic performances during the previous year. At the end of the day Ex-Chairman CESF Rehan thanked all the guest and donors for their support and participation.
