NBP branches in Gilgit – Baltistan go on-line

Islamabad, November 29: According to a press release, the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has made its entire branch network online in Gilgit – Baltistan. ‘This is in line with NBP’s strategy to make majority of its branches online by the end of this year for which work is going on at fast pace’, the release states.

It is worth mentioning here that NBP is present in far off and remotest areas of Pakistan.

To provide Online banking to these remote and far-off areas in such a short span of time is indeed a gift of NBP to the people of Gilgit Baltistan.

NBP has recently initiated a number of IT projects to make the bank one of the most technologically advanced financial institutions in the country.

Currently, the bank is in the implementation phase of Core Banking System, which is one of the largest IT projects in Pakistan and covers all the banking functions.
