Kalash Valley to have Skills Development Centers

PESHAWAR, April 1: KP’s Minister for Technical Education, Mineral Development, Nawazada Mehmood Zaib Khan said proposals to establish skills development centres for males and females in all the three Kalash valleys of Chitral has been submitted for administrative approval.

He said work on the projects would be launched very soon. In addition, he said, a Polytechnic Institute was being constructed in Chitral an estimated cost of Rs10 million to equip students with modern education. Keeping in view high rush of students in Peshawar, Swat and Bannu, he said, the government has decided to expend the network of vocational training institutes in these regions. He said Government Polytechnic Institute in Mardan district has been completed while work on additional class rooms, IT block and student hostel in Govt. College of Management Sciences (GCMS) Chitral, bachelor hostel at Govt College of Management Sciences, Kohat was in an advanced stage and would be operational soon. Source: CHITRAL TODAY
