GB government will develop youth policy: Sadia Danish

Gilgit, August 13: Speakers in a seminar,  urged government and all decision makers to involve young people in their development and social change approaches. The seminar was organized by Rahnuma Family Plaining Association of Pakistan Gilgit-Baltistan in collaboration with Department of Tourism, Sports, Culture and Youth affairs, to commemorate the International Youth Day, under the global  theme “Building a Better World, Parterning with Youth”.

Adviser tourism, sports, culture, youth affairs and women development, Sadia Danish, chief guest at the event.

Addressing the seminar Sadia Danish urged the planners and policy makers to look at the youth as powerful agents for change. She specially urged the planners to involve the youth for harnessing intercultural and sectarian harmony in the region. She further said that GB government will work to develop youth policy for GB to educate, elevate and empower youth by sharing responsibility and decision making in a genuine partnership. After which young male and female will be provided equal oppertunity to participate in different youth activities, she added.

“Youth empowerment is a top periorty of our government besides all other areas,hance for constraction of  youth development centre is under way and it will be completed very soon,while youth loan scheme will aslo be launched with in a few days”said Sadia Danish. She congratulated those who achieved top positions in board level examinations of SSC and HSSC and announced 5000 cahsh prize for each.

The seminar was attended by a huge number young male and female and representatives from different orgnizations.

Rizwan Ali,Programme Manager,Family Planing Association of Pakistan GB and it’s Youth Development officer Muhammad Hussain also adressed to the seminar.
