Youth Social Enterprise generator launched in Chitral valley

Chitral, March 16: Launching ceremony of Youth Social Enterprises generator was held at Bacha Campus of Abdul Wali Khan University, located in Seenlasht area. Speaking at the occasion, Shams Wali, a student of this university said that YES network Pakistan and AKRSP has provided them a platform for enterprises development and now a large number of students are engaged in fund generating schemes.

SONY DSCHafiz Javed Iqbal said that YES Network Pakistan supporting students technically and financially for launching fund generating schemes and give them micro finance (loans). Shahzad Khan Assistant Professor said that this is a tripartite program of YES Pakistan, AKRSP and Abdul Wali Khan University to support the youth and to involve them in positive activities to save them from any social evils. Fazal Malik Youth program Manager of AKRSP highlighted aim and objectives of this program and hailed role of AKRSP who not only guiding the youth but also supporting them financially. He said that AKRSP launched youth enterprises generating program with the financial support of Canadian International Development Agency. He said that we work on improving leadership quality among the youth as well as guide them to play role for sustainable development of Chitral. YES network Pakistan work with students of different School, Colleges and universities.

Bacha Khan Campus is one of the student’s based organizations to work for development of generating schemes and to provide them job opportunities as well as to enable them for gaining livelihood with their own sources and means. Professor Sahibuddin Principal of Government College of Management Sciences said that unfortunately Chitral lack of industries and other facilities and we have the only option of human investment to give quality education to our children for development of Chitral. Because no nation can develop without education he added. He said that there is no facility of career counseling at Chitral and students divided in different sectors. Sohai Abbasi briefed the students about importance of this program and subject was also included in syllabus about youth social enterprises generator. He said that main objective of this program is to enable youth of our country for playing vital role in sustainable development of their areas and for addressing of social problems. Dr. Inayatullah Faizi concluded the ceremony with vote of thanks to the participants. A large number o student (male /female) of different schools, colleges including this university participated in the opening ceremony.
