Ballot papers shifted to Chitral in military chopper

Chitral, May 3: Ballot papers and for general election 2013 were shifted from Rawalpindi to Chitral in a military helicopter.  Waqas Ahmad Malik District Election Commissioner Chitral told this scribe that he along with a Civil Judge Drosh Chitral carried the ballot papers in an Army helicopter from Rawalpindi/Islamabad to Chitral.

These papers were received by another Judge of Chitral on behalf of district Returning Officer Syed Zamarud Shah district session Judge Chitral. Ballot papers were carried by district returning officer along with Election commission Chitral in strict security by Chitral police as well as Chitral scouts to the office of district returning officer Chitral. An other judge had also detailed by district returning officer Chitral who along with district election commissioner carried these ballot paper. He told this scribe that we have arranged for distribution of these ballot papers to different polling station of the entire district. Responding to a question he said that it will be carried to upper Chitral within strict security by our forces  and it will be assured that ballot papers are available at each and every polling station of Chitral. He said that EC will assure fair and transparent election in Chitral.
