One person died, 7 injured, in Chitral road mishap

Chitral, September 9: One person died and 7 others were injured in a road mishap in the Seen Lasht area of Chitral today.

According to police sources, a vehicle carrying participants of a wedding party fell in a deep ravine, while negotiating a sharp turn. Seven people were injured and one person died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Azharuddin, son of Muhammad Ashraf, a resident of Seen Lasht village.

The injured were identified as Shamsiar, Jan Sher Khan, Rehmat Ali, Asadullah, Mehtab Noor and Ghazanfar Ali. They were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital Chitral where they are under treatment.

Relatives of these injured person complained that there is no electricity in hospital despite that government have purchased a diesel generator of mission of rupees but the patients and injured person badly suffering. Chitral police registered a case and started further investigations

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a motorcyclist was injured badly while a person open undiscriminating firing on him. According to SHO police station Torkho Muhammad Razaq son of Sher Gulab resident of Torkho was going to his home on Motorcycle when he reached near Qaqlasht a other person was following him and open firing on him with a pistol as a result he received several bullet on his leg and hand. Hence Koghuzi police arrested the accused person Shakirullah of Shothar Torkoh and lodged FIR under section 324 of Pakistan panel code and started further investigations. It is worth to mention here that deceased Azharuddin was student of 2nd year in Degree College chitral.
