New Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan to be appointed after Sharif’s return from USA

Islamabad: Gilgit-Baltistan is likely to gets its new governor after the return of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif from the United States of America.

According to credible sources, Khyber-Pakhunkhawa will also get a new governor along with Gilgit-Baltistan.

The current governor of Gilgit-Baltisan, Syed Pir Karam Ali Shah, who is a PPP stalwart has lost support from the center after the departure of President Zardari.

Under the constitution, the governors of provinces are appointed by the President of the Islamic Republic, but for all practical reasons Mian Nawaz Sharif is in a position to dictate the current President, Mamnoon Hussain, over such appointments. The role of the President will be ceremonial and symbolic.

  1. We need gilgit, baltistan status as a separate province, we don’t need puppet governor s, we need our basic rights, civic rights. Gilgit, baltistan public strong request our constitutional rights, we do not accept any puppet body without any power, we are Pakistani and we must be considered as geinune Pakistanis rather than treating us 3rd race. Why are we not considered as Pakistanis? 67 years passed I still cannot vote? Is this a joke?

  2. Well Dear Pamir times its very innocent of us all to think that our Governor is a real Governor. Its is just a game that the Government of Pakistan with its bureaucracy is playing with the not fool but ignorant people of GB, for over 60 and more years.

I sometime thing what was our mistake that we are bearing such inhuman situation. Was it due to being Muslim, or was it because we are not Patan, Punjabi, Sindi or another group.
Maybe we are too much into fundamentalism, we have forgotten about our past as one brother and have become different in many form .
end of the story we need nothing just love the we are ….
followers of PPPPTI>MQM who never talk about our basic right the right to be called human under the constitution of the state, and the state for which we are giving our lives everyday on borders and streets ……
