Gilgit: Teenage girl allegedly commits suicide

Gilgit, March 12: A sixteen years old girl has allegedly committed suicide by shooting herself in the Cheeta Colony area of Jutial, Gilgit.
According to details, the motive behind the alleged act of suicide is not known. The incident occurred last night.
It is pertinent to note that in the past many cases of murders have been dubbed as suicide, especially in the cases of girls and women.
The police have registered a case and started investigation.
During this month, three violent incidents involving the death of youth have been reported from different parts of Gilgit district. Two weeks back a boy and a girl were shot dead in Jaglote area in an apparent case of honour-killing. Last week, a father shot is daughter dead in Kashrote area for being “disobedient”.
