6th JMSC Independence Day Floodlight Volley Tournament underway in Moorkhun, Gojal

Moorkhun, August 16: The 6th JMSC Independence day flood light volleyball tournament 2014 had started in Moorkhun Gojal on August 14, the independence day of Pakistan. Organized by Jawanan-e-Moorkhun Sport Club, a local youth led organization, the tournament is being held every year for the past six years.
Fifteen teams are competing in the 2014. The opening ceremony was attended by a large number of people. Renowned cultural and social activist, Aziz Ahmed, was chief guest at the occasion.
Four matches were played on the first day, in which JSMC defeated Khudabad, Hussainabad Hunza defeated Jamalabad, Gircha defeated Shetmerg Chipursan team, while in the last match JSMC B defeated Ghalapan.
On the second day, ten matches were played. 1. Hussainabad bear Al-Zohra Old by 2-0 March 2. Khudabad-A beat Ghalapan-B by 2-0 Match 3. Gircha Eagles beat Sost -A by 2-0 Match 4. Khairabad beat Khyber-A by 2-1 Match 5. Khyber-B bear Soneri Sirteez by 2-0 Match 6. Sost Decents beat Jamalabad Youngs by 2-0 Match 7. IDBSA Scouts Imamabad by 2-1 Match 8. Moorkhun-B beat Nazimabad Sports Club by 2-1 Match 9. Hussainabad Eleven beat Soneri Sirteez by 2-0 March 10. Khudabad-A beat Sost Decents by 2-0
Matches on the third day were cancelled due to heavy rain in the valley.
Last year, Khairabad (Raminji) had defeated Moorkhun in the final match of the tournament, winning the trophy.
