Drinking water supply scheme inaugurated at Kalkakat, Chitral

Chitral, November 14: A drinking water supply scheme completed by Sarhad Rural Support Program (SRSP) at Kalkatak some 55 KM from here at Drosh area was inaugurated today. Advisor Board of Director SRSP Engineer Ihsanullah Khan was chief guest on the occasion, along with Qari Jamal Abdul Nasir of JUI.
Addressing on the occasion social Moralizer of SRSP Salahuddin Salih said that drinking water supply scheme was completed with a cost of 5.2 million with 0.41 million of community share in a short period of 5 months only. He said that some 200 households are its beneficiaries from this scheme.
Ihsanullah Khan while addressing to the ceremony said that SRSP always render best service to the people of most neglected areas of KPK. He said that this scheme was completed with financial support of European Union under Program for Economic Advancement and Community Empowerment (PEACE). He said that this community physically infrastructure is a series one of developmental network in Chitral.
Talking to this scribe Qari Fazal Haq said that Kalkatak area was totally deprived from drinking water since creation of Pakistan and we very thankful to SRSP who completed this scheme which was long awaited demand of people of the area.
Qari Jamal Abdul Nasir criticized some other nongovernmental organizations who involve in embezzlement of huge fund and they show their schemes only in papers. He said that SRSP is the only civil society organization which is acceptable to all sects and tribes of Chitral. Salahuddin Tofan presented appraisal poem hailing meritorious services of SRSP.
A large number of people of the area attended the inauguration ceremony of drinking water and expressed their great pleasure on completion of this water supply scheme.
