GIS day celebrated at University of Peshawar, two students from GB get awards for creating models

Peshawar: The University of Peshawar today celebrated Geographical Information System (GIS) day, in collaboration with ISRI International, Digital Globe and SUPARCO Pakistan.

The day is celebrated on the 19th of November every year to increase awareness of GIS at the global level.

During the event at Peshawar University, two students of GIS – Habiba Aziz from Hussaini (Gojal) and Muhammad Anjum from Chipursan (Gojal) received the best model award.

The award was presented to them by Prof Muhammad Rasul Jan, Vice Chancellor of the University of Peshawar.
