Culture Promotion: GB govt planning to celebrate annual ‘Cap Day’

Gilgit: The government of Gilgit-Baltistan is planning to observe an annual traditional ‘Cap Day’ in the region to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of the area.

The decision in this regard has been taken by Chief Minister Hafiz Hafizur Rehman and the day would be selected and made a part of the official calendar during this month. It may be added that like in the province of Sindh, where a Sindhi topi day is observed every year, a cultural mela will also be arranged on the national Cap Day in Gilgit-Baltistan.

This will help in promoting the unique culture and traditions of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral the world over.
