BISP Chairperson visits Baltistan
Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Marvi Memon during her visit to Baltistan said that BISP will employ latest technology to initiate the new poverty survey and include all deserving families. She said the survey will be first conducted in Gilgit district and later in other districts of Gilgit-Baltistan. She said biometric- system will be introduced in GB after one year. She also visited the payment points and beneficiaries of the Programme in Shigar, Ganche and Skardu districts and inquired about the problems faced by the beneficiaries in receiving the support.
Speaker Gilgit-Baltistan legislative assembly Fida Muhammad Nashad also accompanied the chairperson.
