Sharp rise in Tomato price in Gilgit

Gilgit: Prices of the locally grown tomato have soared from Rs 40 to 50 per kg to Rs 70-80 per kg in Gilgit despite the imposition of 144 to stop its smuggling to down country. The price of tomatoes in Islamabad has reached upto Rs 200 per kg.
