CPEC, Social Media discussed at session organized by GISAK in Karachi


KARACHI: Gojal Ismailia Students Association Karachi (GISAK) organised a session for the youth to discuss different aspects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and on the impact of social media on the society. The event was held at the Nizari Auditorium in Karachi. Dr. Azra Talat Sayeed, Executive Director of Roots for Equity, and Dr. Aman Karim were the speakers on the occasion.Dr. Azra, talking about CPEC, said that the multi-billion economic initiative needs to be studied critically. She urged the youth to be cognizant of the challenges posed by CPEC, while also appreciating its economic impact. She also discussed the political, cultural and geo-political impact of the CPEC projects.

Dr Karim Aman, PhD in Chemistry, spoke about the impact of social media on youth. He laid emphasis on the constructive usage of social media. He asked the youth to engage themselves in productive activities while using social media. Misuse of social media can harm a person and can distract from achieving the desired goals, he mentioned.

Chairman Hunza Social and Welfare Mr Qizil and ex-chairman Mr Karim Bahadur also shared their views with the youth. They had words of praise for team GISAK for consistently arranging fruitful sessions for the youth.

Mr Qizil showed his full support and coordination with GISAK in the time to come as well.

Mr Chairman Noshad thanked the participants of the event and urged the youth to not miss such constructive programs where renowned speakers devote their time for their betterment.
