Prayer leader shot dead inside Masjid in Gilgit

GILGIT: Unknown assailant on Friday killed a prayer leader inside the Imam Murtaza Masjid located in Diamer Colony Jutial, Gilgit.

According to sources, the unidentified attackers entered the Mosque at around 9:30 pm and ambushed the Imam Masjid, identified as Qari Riaz.

The deceased was a resident of Hudur locality of Diamer.

Police have transferred the body to City Hospital for postmortem.
