Ten million rupees released for students affected by Attabad landslide and Gojal lake

The teachers and officials of education department after getting cheques from the GB Education Minister.

Gilgit, October 26: The education department of Gilgit – Baltistan distributed cheques among teachers representing different schools of upper Hunza who were affected due to the damming of Hunza River.

The cheque distribution ceremony was held at a hotel in Gilgit, attended by GB Education Minister, among others.

The minister said that out of the required 70 million rupees only 10 million have been received so far from the federal government. He said that more funds will be made available to fulfil the needs.

Public circles have appreciated release of the money which had been given to the GB government more than two months back.
