Section 144 imposed in Hunza to stop black day gatherings

PT Report

Gilgit, January 4: The district administration has imposed section 144 of the law to stop processions and rallies planned by protesters as part of the January 4 Black Day.

Public circles have condemned the decision as repressive and demanded lifting of the section 144.

The district administration has also imposed a ban on the movement of boats for a period of one month.

No decision has been taken, however, to appoint a doctor to look after the 25,000 people of Gojal Valley.
