Gilgit Police arrests 3 drug peddlers, 6,974 grams of Chars recovered

Giglit: The Gilgit Police on Monday nabbed three drug peddlers and recovered around 6,974 grams of Chars from their possessions.

Sharing details, the police spokesman Mubarak Jan said that a team of the police force was on routine petrol. They searched a car bearing number NCP, SKD-0929 near the Jalalabad Adda in Gilgit city. During the search they found large quantity of Chars hidden in different compartments of the vehicle. Three people present in the car were arrested and cases were registered against them under section C-9 of the Anti-Narcotics Act. The arrested peddlers were identified as Saeed Mulook (Pattan, Kohistan), Muhammad Nabi (Dassu, Kohistan) and driver Qasim (Gupis, Ghizar).

SSP Rana Maqsood has appreciated the police team, and promised them rewards for a job well done.
