Passu Glacier Burst caused flood

According to sources, on Sunday evening sudden burst in Passu glacier caused release of huge water from the near lake. The flood water has damaged glacier Burj Hotel and many unused houses just below the glacier.  KKH is now blocked for all kind of traffic. An RCC Bridge on KKH is also under threat. In order to avoid further damages and threats houses near the glacier have been evacuated and people have shifted to safe places. After this event, volunteers and Scouts from surrounding villages gathered in Passu to deal with any emergency situation.

According to last moment reports the settlement is now safe from the flood water.
