GB CEC fixes time for March 18 polls

ISLAMABAD, Mar 13 (APP): The Chief Election Commissioner of Gilgit-Baltistan has fixed the polling hours from 10:00 am to 02:00 pm (four hours) without interval for the elections scheduled to be held on March 18. The polling would be held to elect six members of the Gilgit-Baltistan Council, said a press release issued here.

However, if any voter present in the premises of the polling station at the time of closure would be allowed to cast his/her vote.

The commissioner has issued this order in exercise of powers conferred upon him under Gilgit-Baltistan (Empowerment and Self-Governance )Order, 2009 and all other powers enabling him in this behalf.
