Thugs on lose in Chilas, traders agitate

Chilas, April 4: A complete shutter-down strike was observed in Chilas, headquarter of the Diamer District, against several theft incidents. Traders took out a protest rally and demanded of the district administration for fool proof security arrangements in the city.
Participants of the protest rally staged a sit in in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office. Addressing the protesters office bearers of traders association said that law and order situation was going from bad to worse in Chilas city while police was not performing its duty honestly.
DC Sibtain Ahmed assured the traders that police patrolling at night would be ensured and other problems faced by the traders would also be resolved.
