Criminal negligence takes life of Electricity Department employee in Ishkoman

Chatorkhand, July 23: A Line-man of the GB Power Department lost his life while trying to perform maintenance work on an electricity  transformer. Relatives of the deceased refused to bury the dead body in protest.

According to details an employee of the PWD, identified as Niat Murad, was performing maintenance work in Chatorkhand. The concerned authorities failed to switch off the power supply during the process, leading to electrocution of the worker. Relatives of the deceased refused to bury his mutilated body, demanding action against those responsible for the criminal negligence. Late Niat Murad belonged to Pakora village.

After negotiations with the Executive Engineer the dead body of Murad was put to rest. The people have demanded strict action against those responsible for the tragic death. It is pertinent to note that this is the third case of electrocution of a PWD employee in Ishkoman valley.

    This is very sad news today i read about our friedn Niat Murad. Late Niat Murad a young and by profession Electrician left us and he was smallest among his two elder brothers. He was a very good footballer and he called “Captain.” He was once our nice fellow playser of football and was very kind human being. He was a gentle and nice person. This accident is unbearbale for the bereaved families and relatives, however this is Natural system of Allah. We came from him (Allah) and will be backed to him (Alllah). We pray May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace and grant fortitude and strength to bear this irrepearbale loss.”Ameen”

  2. This is 2nd tragedy happened with Late Niat Murad in Ishkoman and same negligence shown by the PWD. We strongly request to the Government Authorities to bring the culprits behind bars and give them punishment that in future no any one can can dare. However it is the strongest voice of the people of the region to Government should provide fair justice to the victims.
