4 killed in road mishap

CHITRAL:  4 persons died in road accident at Arandu road in Chitral River. According to District Police officer Chitral Abdul Rashid a passenger double cabin pick up Dotson NO PSC 33 was on its way from Drosh to Arandu some 90 KM from here. When this ill-fated vehicle reached Jashtangal turn it plunged into Chitral river due to no protection, parapet wall on road side toward river bank. As a result Saeed Ahmad and Abdul Rehman were died on the spot while wife of Ghulam Hazrat and an other child drowned in Chitral River. Dead bodies of these two persons are still missing. Driver of the vehicle Sibghatur Rehman son of Raza Shah was badly injured and under treatment at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Drosh. It is worth to mention here that Arandu is situated on Pak Afghan border area its 45 KM road from Drosh to Arandu is earthen and passing on the bank of Chitral river having no side wall or any other protection fencing as a result usually vehicles fell down in this river and precious lives losing.

Dead body of unknown person recovered from Drosh River

CHITRAL:  Dead body of an unknown person was recovered from Drosh River at Drosh some 45 KM from here. According to Drosh Police the man whose dead body was recovered is bearded and of the age of 30 to 25 years. His dead body was kept in Drosh hospital for autopsy. Hence it is not ascertained until filling of this report that either the man is local or non-local and reasons behind his death was also not clear at present.
