Man accused of killing wife in Niat Valley, Diamer

Gilgit, February 26: A man named Bahadur Khan has allegedly ‘tortured his wife’ to death in the Niat Valley of Diamer District, Gilgit-Baltistan. The horrific “honour killing” incident occurred two days back in a remote village.

Police said that the woman’s brother has registered a case against his brother-in-law, accusing him of “severely torturing” his sister. Police has registered a case and investigations are underway, said SHO Chilas.

There are also reports that some influential people are trying to influence the investigation and cover the brutal act.
