Chilas, April 1: MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif visited the district headquarters of Diamer today where he was briefed by the officials on matters related to the construction of Diamer-Bhasha Dam and the issues being faced by the dam affectees. He was accompanied by MLA Haji Janbaz, PMLN leader Haji Ghandal Shah, WAPDA Chairman Syed Raghib Shah and Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan, Younus Dagha, among others.
Speaking at the occasion Hamza said that Diamer-Bhasha Dam is of prime importance for Pakistan and its construction is likely to take around 7-8 years. He lauded the people of Diamer for sacrificing for the sake of the country, while promising to address their concerns and resolves their issues
Hamza said that efforts will be made to speed up the construction work and resolve the issues of the people. He was greeted by PMLN regional leaders and party workers who had gathered in large numbers.
