Gilgit: Mehfil-e-Mushaira held as part of Azadi celebrations

Gilgit, August 12: “Mehfil Mushaira” was held at the Gilgit-Baltistan Sports Board Complex auditorium today as part of the Independence Day celebrations. The Mushaira was organized by Tourism Department and Halqae Arbab-e-Zauq GB.
Chief Secretary GB was chief guest and other guests, including home secretary, Madam Sadia Danish, Mr. Mohammad Ajmal Bhattee Director Sports board GB and prominent government officials were amongst the witnesses.
Prominent poets, including Muhammad Amin Zia, Inayat Ullah Shimali and Jamshed Khan Dukhi were present at the occasion along with other young and senior poets.
Notables of Halqaye Arbab-e-Zoq GB, Lecturers and students of Karakarom International University Gilgit Baltistan also participated in the Mushaira.
