Chitral: Awareness rally participants ask parents to enroll their children in govt schools
CHITRAL: An awareness walk was held today in Chitral to motivate students for joining government schools. The walk was led by Rafiq Khattak, Director Education Khyber Pahtunkhwa. The walk started from govt. Centennial Model High school carrying the banners inscribing the message to parents to enroll their children in government school passing through secretariat road and ended at Govt. Primary School Chitral.
During the enrollment campaign a function was also held at GPS Chitral where Muhammad Ashraf president All Primary Teachers Association (APTA) presented some children before Director Education for enrollment. Rafiq Khattak registered their enrollment and fill up the entry in the enrollment registration with his own writing. He was also presented traditional gifts by APTA on arrival to GPS Chitral.
Award distribution ceremony was also held Director presented awards to position holder students of the school. Earlier that he was warmly welcomed by students at Govt Centennial Model High School Chitral where a large number of students were waiting for him from 7.0 AM till 1.30. Some parents and students also complained that a large number of teachers who left their classes were waiting for Director at GCMHS for hours. As well as students also missed their classes standing in sun and received him in a VVIP treatment by presenting him guard of honor and slogan welcome welcome as well as showering of floral petals on him.
Addressing on the occasion Muhammad Jameel said that they had kicked the enrollment campaign and trying of their best to enroll maximum numbers of students. Award was also presented chairman parents teachers association. Director Education announced up-gradation of some schools to higher secondary level and construction of compound wall of different schools.
