Terrorism: The Truth And Lies Associated With It

In the light of the situations and conditions that are being faced by the world in the name of terrorism, it has become necessary for the world to realize and understand the real and proper definition of terrorism.

Terrorism, as the term defines is an act of developing terror by killing, torture or any other force used to cause brutality for personal or political benefit.

The world at present is suffering from terrorism. Unfortunately, we do not see any positive response of actions or steps taken against it. Infact, terrorism has been started to be used for political benefit. With the tensions rising around the globe, the media has forgotten its responsibility to provide the people the correct facts and figures.

The storm of terrorism struck the globe after the attack of 9/11, when the United States declared a war against Terrorism. Not much time passed away when Muslim community was associated with terrorism and thus the world forgot the actual definition of it. Any person who is a Muslim and has shown any kind of extremism is termed as a terrorist. While the world has lost the sense to differentiate between the reality and that which is portrayed. The world has linked terrorism with religion, specially Islam. The people ought to know that there is no religion that allows the killing of Innocent people.

As said in the Quran (5:32): “Killing of one innocent is equal to the killing of the whole of humanity”

While in the Bible we see Exodus 23:7

“Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked.”

From the verses written above we can observe that the international media has clearly given up its responsibility to lead the world towards a peace time in such critical situations.

If we critically analyse the situation, we find out that the after there was not even a single suicide attempt in Iraq before the American invasion. While Iraq now is a huge terrorist hub. Similarly Afghanistan has been suffering from the war of different countries in the name of anti terrorist attacks. Also Libya, Syria, Pakistan, Sudan, Somalia and many other Islamic nations suffered huge loses and lost thousands of precious innocent lives in this war. Still no betterment is to be seen. Things are going worst than they ever were. There must be some organization that funds the terrorists. Most probably the US itself as clearly we see that there was peace before the American military started Invading different countries. Also American media was the first to call only muslims as terrorists. While On the other side thousands of Muslims died in Palestine and Syria due to Israeli Terrorism while many died in Kashmir due to Indian terrorism. Also a lot of Muslims gave up their lives due to American terrorism in countries such as Afghanistan. A number of terror events took place in countries some which are the APS attack in Pakistan, Mosque Attack in New Zealand, Australian bar attack and the list never ends.

Most of the time the terrorist was called as “psychopath” or “depressed White man” etc.

The world must realize that the terrorism has nothing to do with religion. It is upto every individual to analyse the true facts and unite against this wave to make the world a better place.

Let the people know that a human life is precious and should not be ruined in a brutal way.
