Body exhumed for forensic analysis after suspicious death of young girl

SKARDU: The body of a girl was exhumed in Tormik village of Rondu Valley in Baltistan division after her suspicious death.

The girl had reportedly died under mysterious circumstances on 27th August 2019. Her body was found and buried without autopsy, local sources informed Pamir Times.

Her death was initially reported as suicide. After suspicions and rumors about the cause of death, the body was exhumed and samples were sent to a Forensic lab located in Lahore.

Locals are expressing rage and anger on social media, demanding transparent investigation of the death. There are suspicions that the girl, whose identity is being kept secret, may have been killed.
