Pamir Times is the pioneering community news and views portal of Gilgit – Baltistan, Kohistan, Chitral and the surrounding mountain areas. It is a voluntary, not-for-profit, non-partisan and independent venture initiated by the youth.
Vow, thanks PT for the great creativity and giving sense of humor for all of us, either it is the news about Chineer Festival, or the view of barley field or the mulberry fruit, all is remarkable and tremendous effort.
Your great and voluntary services will help to teach and give orientation for all of us, especially those folks, who are out of their villages for any reasons and far from the cultural festivals.
Indeed, such kind of creativity provides update and enables us to give constructive feedback for getting directions from the norms of the mountain societies, like Hunza-Gojal. This is one of the best examples of socio-economic and socio-cultural activities and reminds us to compare our present with our yesterday and learn lesson to plan for our better tomorrow.
I see and reflect on the picture of barley (Yurk in Wakhi language) field, a very ancient tradition of agriculture represent our tradition with the combination of gigantic cell phone tower. This is also one of the characteristic to not forget our history in the era of complex theories and inventions of modernization and globalization to keep alive the unique human values.

This is really great. It sounds as we are part of the celebrations making so many connections to our traditions and cultural festivities albeit living miles away from our homes. Thanks to PT for giving us a flacour and taste apart.
This also reminds us of how rich our traditions are. We are making pace with the cosmopolitan world yet living our wonderful traditions. Keep it up and let us keep our culture and traditions alive for the generations to follow.
