GB govt lifts ban on appointments

Gilgit: The government of Gilgit-Baltistan lifted ban on appointments in government department which was imposed a couple of months past.

Official Sources said the chief minister Syed Mehdi Shah issued directives in this regard and circulated it to all departments. Meanwhile, an official handout said that the ban was lifted but it has been directed by Chief Minister that the departments should start advertising vacant positions so that maximum people could be appointed on merit basis.

It is pertinent to mention here that GB government has created more than 3300 vacancies previous year and process for filling these posts would start now and advertisement has been ordered to complete this task within one week. Meanwhile, the Gilgit Police has detected clue in a blind murder case and arrested murderer of a revenue official who was killed eight months ago.

Police said Alam Khan was shot dead by unknown people in the dark of night and made their escape good. The Police officials said that it got winds of hands of one of his own relatives.—APP

    There are two different news in one news. one is of Lifting ban on appointments and another is a murder case. I think they are jumbled. Please check.
