[Obituary] Muhammad Afzal of Khyber Gojal passed away in Gilgit

Gojal, August 10: Mohammad Afzal, 78, of Khyber Gojal passed away in Gilgit, 2 days back after a short ailment.
Late Mohammad Afzal was brother of Ali Rehbar and father of Muhammad Sarwar, Muhammad Nishat, Bakhtullah Baig, Muhammad Aslam and Iqbal Haider.
Soyem of late Mohammad Afzal was observed today at his native village, in presence of hundreds of relatives and villagers. He would be remembered for hard work, dedication, hospitality and sweet words.

Indeed a very sad news. What a great man! Late uncle Muhammad Afzal may have survived few more years if he would have avoided going back to the mountains and stayed down country.
He was one of the few exceptional elders from the mountain communities served in the Northern Scouts in the very first phase of youth recruitment by the government.- always a volunteer not only in the village but else where he visited. His inter personal and language skills (Brushaki, Shena, Urdu and Wakhi ) always facilitated inter and intra village dialouges, bulding relationship and resolving conflicts. Well known and friend of all age and gender and a very positive person.
