About Pamir Times
Founded in 2007, Pamir Times (PT) is a pioneering and award-winning digital media platform serving Gilgit-Baltistan, Kohistan, Chitral, and the surrounding mountain regions. Initiated by local youth with the vision of citizen journalism, PT was created to mainstream the voices of communities living in the high mountains of Pakistan, voices that were historically underrepresented in national discourse.
What began as a modest volunteer effort has grown into a trusted, multi-lingual digital news platform with local, national, and global readership. Today, PT continues to inform audiences about political developments, social transformation, environmental challenges, cultural heritage, and grassroots innovation emerging from the Karakoram, Hindukush, Himalaya, and Pamir regions.
Pamir Times (Pvt) Limited is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under Section 16 of the Companies Act, 2017. PT is also a member of the Digital Media Alliance of Pakistan (DigiMAP), an alliance of independent, non-legacy digital media platforms in Pakistan.
