Sost, September 20: Alam Jan, 25, son of Mr Gurg Ali, Public Relations Officer of the Silk Route Dry Port Sost and an aspiring politician, passed away in Gilgit, due to cardiac arrest. He was a very active social worker, serving as Captain of Volunteer Corps, Zulfiqarabad Jamat Khana. He wanted to contest the elections as a candidate for District Council.
His marital engagement was scheduled to take place after Eid. As the saying goes, “being born with personality is an accident but dying as a personality is an achievement”. The gap left by late Alam Jan will not be filled easily. He was laid to final rest in his native town, Sost, in presence of hundreds of family members and admirers.
Nadeedm Aman Rumi – In another sad incident Saeed Muhammad, father of Sultan Udin Rumi, assistant director tourism, and Rehman Udin passed away in Nazimabad Sost. He was a prominent social worker.
He left behind two sons and four daughters.

This is indeed shocking news, that a young and energetic Alam Jan passed away.
He was just 26 but he gave unforgettable services to the community.
He was very active since the age of school. He was the founder member of Sost Young Star Club SUSC and was also the first president of this club. We will miss him and his services forever.

All we can do is pray for the soul of the deceased and give a message to our youth that they need to try and support our youth in overcoming their personal and professional issues and also try to address the causes of cardiac arrests among youth at this age which is not normal.
I fully understand that death is unavoidable and the decision is in the hands of God but precautions have been suggested by God, by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as well as by the Ismaili Aima e Muthahhireen (SAA).
Someone educated, living around the village/family of late Alam Jan needs to take it as a case study and find out the reasons and then give their recommendations to the youth to learn from such lessons and try to avoid such happenings.

Leader born in crises
Alam Jan was born 1984 and passed away on 19 September 2009. His life cycle rotates around political, socio-economic sphere of life .he was the outstanding and well dignified personality of Gojal , Hunza. Today he passed away and made entire Hunza in grieve and sorrow. Alam was not just as a person but a well defined leader, brother, friend and a good social activist for the region. His received his early education from
Government school Sost, after completing his primary he went to Gilgit for higher education were he passed middle class. He faced too many problems regarding to education and as a consequences he left education and activated himself in the socio- economic as well in the political sector. During the Silk Route Port, crises for a period of four to six years he faced too many troubles and challenges but he never left the movement of the port. His leadership was bold, courageous, energetic, zealous, and prominent and risk taker. On May2007 his movement achieved the desired objectives of the local community and the shareholders. Now a-days he was interested in taking part in the district election, but it was the misfortune of the region that we lost him like flying bird and left us alone in this world.
