I salute to the brave sons of Glt-Blt who sacrificed their lives for this noble cause–Azadi;and, also offer my tributes to the very honourable daughters of the Region whose blood is running in the veins of this Azadi.
Humanly and historically Gilgit-Baltistan is ‘the oldest Pakistan’ in the words of a re-known historian of the Indus civilisation and the history of Pakistan; but, the lack of of the vision of the entire leadership of this country, in her entire history, has made it successfully ‘a disputed land’ for nothing at cost of unthinkable human sufferings of two million people of this Region. The shallow make-ups by Ordinances,during the last six decades, are not in any way offering healing /solutions to these sufferings–emotionally, economically, culturally,educationally, politically and humanly. The leadership of the country, in the government or not, needs to be vary serious about it in any sense of the word and are already very late. As you cannot change the ground reality of the Region whatever it is; and,because we have the right of self correction whenever we realise that we have made a mistake be it intentional or unintentional. The so called Azad Kashmir, even smaller than the smallest Tehsil of Glt-Blt, is having more dignified self ruling structure /system granted and facilitated by Islamabad but … .The international community and institutions must also press Pakistan, India and the leadership of Kashmir , on both sides of the LoC, to put en end to this un-due humiliation, equal to slavery, of the people of this Region for that long time by the people of their own faith and country fellow.

I just want to ask from everyone of us in the Region: How they were able to be united even not compromising their ‘Frame-of Reference’. We too can remain in our choice of School-of-thought, as Muslims and struggle, peacefully and intellectually–but constantly on the bases of the only live-able and sustainable formula of PEACEFUL-CO-EXISTENCE; because it is true not only for the people of this Region but for this country ( the situations we are passing through is due to the lack of understanding of this golden rule as taught by almighty God through His noble Prophets and Friends) and the countries of the entire world. Sixty years, before, our forefathers not only understood this but also acted upon it and were able to achieve this AZADI for us and we forgot this lesson …….. . Dare to follow if you can !
