Prince Karim Aga Khan in October 1993. Undoubtedly, this fort, now a global tourist icon has not only reinforced Hunza’s presence on tourist maps but also achieved UNESCO’s award for Islamic architecture by appearing on the cover of TIME Magazine. Likewise, Altit Fort will do the same justice. I have read about this fort and feel great ecstasy to visit it. Sounds like a Master Piece! @Vinnie you must vist and visit in summer. you will enjoy ur vacation and will find it one of the best place in the world. i would recomend u to visit next year because this year the landslide has blocked the road and river . but if u want to see only baltiti fort u can visit even today.
