Sost, May 6: Blockade of the Karakuram Highway due to a massive landslide near Attabad and uncertainty about its opening date is most likely going to have adverse effect on border trade between Pakistan and China. Volume of trade is expected to be lower than previous years.
The management of Gilgit – Baltistan’s only dry port is considering reducing the number of staff to control costs. According to information obtained by this scribe lower staff, including security guards and warehouse staff.
