Landslide kills four people in Ghanche

Skardu, September 8: A landslide resulted in death of four people in Baara village of Ghanche district, Gilgit – Baltistan. The village also buried four houses and caused extensive damages to property.

Bodies of the four people were evacuated from debris of the landslide, according to official sources.

Natural disasters have so far killed around 210 people in Gilgit – Baltistan region during the year 2010. Diamir district is the worst hit part where over 100 people lost their lives during the recent monsoon rain triggered disasters.
