Gilgit-Baltistan Public Service Commission bill in GB Assembly

Gilgit The Gilgit- Baltistan Public Service Commission and Service Tribunal bill has been brought in the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) to get finally approved by the house.

The Gilgit-Baltistan public Service Commission and Service Tribunal Act 2010 bill in was brought to the GBLA  by  Minister of Law Wazir Shakil in the assembly session, presided over by the speaker. The bill   was discussed by the assembly members. Speaker Wazir Baig pointed out  many improvements in the bill. The speaker appointed a committee comprising of four members including the Minister of Law to go through the bill and suggest some more improvements in it. The revised bill will be brought to the next sitting of the assembly.

According to the bill the Govenor Gilgit-Baltistan will appoint the chairman of GB Service Commision and Service Tribunal. The decision about names and number of  members of the commission will solely rest with the Governor, however the members could be appointed for a three years period.

  1. Public service GB will be a real challenge situation for our newly province GB. In our beloved GB where in the mind of our people there is favoritism in terms of sects and regions.

    Now there should be such persons in GB public Service Commission
    who should think above these humans weakness. Otherwise our backward area will again move in downwards.

    Our institutions need able persons who should work day and night for the nation.
