Skardu. October 8 Prominent scholar and poet of Gilgit-Baltitsan Ghulam Hassan Hassni has passed away. He belonged to Skardu Baltistan. Hassni has written many poetry and prose books about religion and other topics. He was 55.

Indeed a great writer with liberal philosophy and love of his soil. When he wrote in Urdu it came naturally to him without a tinge of feeling that it was his second language. May Allah bless his soul
