Hunza Cultural Mela brings mountain music to Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Hunza Cultural Mela brought songs, dance, music and traditional Hunza food and handicrafts to the capital city yesterday. Hundreds of residents of the twin city attended the event organized by Hunza Cultural Forum.
Singers of Shina, Burushaski and Wakhi performed songs and dances, getting rousing applauds from the audience.
Highlight of the entire event was an emotional ode to mothers, performed by Rahim Ullah Rahim. The song pays rich tribute and love to mothers for their sacrifices.
The cultural festival will continue tomorrow also.
Day 1 was good but not many attended. Day 2 is expected to be much better.
