Polling on 30th March in LA 19, Ghizar 1

27,834 voters, 46 polling stations, 12 candidates

Gilgit, March 10: Chief Election Commissioner of Gilgit – Baltistan, Rahim Nawaz Durrani, has said that polling in Ghizar will take place on 30th March, 2011.

12 candidates have submitted their nomination papers for the GBLA seat that fell vacant after appointment of Pir Karam Ali Shah as governor of Gilgit – Baltistan.

The candidates can withdraw from the election race on March 11, while symbols will allotted on March 12, 2011, according the Election Commissioner.

A total of 27, 834 listed voters are expected to use power of the ballot on March 30. 13457 of the voters are women.
